The college has access to the Guangdong Provincial Field Observation Station for the Tropical Marine Ecosystem in Western Guangdong, the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Natural Resources for Marine Remote Sensing and Applications, and the Guangdong Provincial Demonstration Center for Marine Science and Technology Education, among a total of seven provincial-level scientific research platforms and talent training bases. It has also established 36 off-campus undergraduate teaching practice bases.

The laboratory area covers 3,326 square meters, equipped with 2,270 sets of instruments valued at approximately 72.144 million RMB. The college has constructed an integrated monitoring system for land-sea-air across the northern and western regions of the South China Sea, as well as a comprehensive numerical simulation system for “marine-atmosphere-dynamics-biology” in the South China Sea and its surrounding areas.
