Work Experience:

Ø 2019.03–Present: Guangdong Ocean University, College of Ocean and Meteorology, Lecturer/Associate Professor, Master/Doctoral Supervisor

Taught courses: AI Big Data, Fluid Mechanics, Dynamic Meteorology, Satellite Meteorology, Modern Numerical Weather Forecasting;

Developed, operated in near real-time, and customized applications for the South China Sea Ocean-Meteorological Analysis and Forecasting System for various departments;

Research on South China Sea typhoons: Data Assimilation, Ensemble forecasting, and Targeting Observation.

Ø 2024.05–Present: National Natural Science Foundation of China, Department of Earth Sciences, Comprehensive and Strategic Planning Office

Ø 2022.03–2022.12: National Natural Science Foundation of China, Department of Earth Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences Division

  Investigated the development trends, opportunities, and challenges of the atmospheric sciences discipline, research on the reform of project review mechanisms, and policy advocacy;

Surveyed the meteorological joint fund; preliminary research and discussion on the "Complex Systems for Carbon Neutrality" special program;

Ø 2016.07–2019.03: Sun Yat-sen University, School of Atmospheric Sciences, Postdoctoral Researcher

Designed and operated a mesoscale weather analysis and forecasting system, providing customized services in meteorological, transportation, and water conservancy fields;

Developed and applied algorithms for estimating the impact of observational data on forecasts for heavy rainfall in the warm sector of South China.

Ø 2014.07–2016.07: Beijing Urban Meteorological Research Institute, Visiting Student

Quality control and assimilation of wind profiler radar and aircraft reports; regional ensemble forecasting.

Ø 2011.08–2013.07: National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Visiting Scholar

WISDOW in-situ observation program; U.S. Winter Storm Experiment; Observations using unmanned aerial vehicles and drifting balloons for forecasting impact.


Social Services:

Member of the Youth Working Group, International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences - China Committee (CNC-IAMAS); Vice Chairman, Yangjiang Meteorological Society;

Reviewer for several journals including Atmospheric Science, Meteorological Science, and Remote Sensing; Reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
